Chapter 7: Earth

   I'll never forget my first date with Peter Mendez. It was absolutely amazing. He was the perfect gentleman, said that I looked beautiful, did not touch his phone once, and I had his undivided attention.

          Friday,
            May 1st, 2008

   I remember when I came to school those past few days, there was a note on my locker from Peter. It said, 
           'I'm looking forward to the movies on Friday, and I hope that you are too.
                                                                                       -Peter.'

   I was definitely looking forward to it, because he made that day one of the best days ever. Peter picked me up from my house Friday at 8:30, and we went to go see Moulin Rouge.

   "Damn it!" I said.

   "What's wrong?" asked Peter.

   "I hope you don't think I did this on purpose, but I forgot my wallet."

   "It's okay, Leah. I was going to pay for you anyways."

   I smiled. "Thank you."

   "You're welcome. Oh, and by the way, you look beautiful tonight." Peter said.

   I had a big smile on my face. I swear, that night I blushed more than I had in my life. Peter surprised me when we were about to walk into the theater. He opened the door for me, and wouldn't let me hold it open. I was really starting to like him.

   "Do you want anything to drink?" Peter asked.

   "Um, wouldn you please get me a Coke?"

   "Of course."

   While he was getting our drinks I walked over to the bathroom. I splashed some cold water on my face, so I would stop blushing. However, it did not work. As I came out, Peter was standing there waiting for me.

   "Alright. Where do you want to sit?" I asked.

   "You choose." He said.

   "Okay. Let's go to the top row, that's my favorite place to sit." I said.

   "It's crowded here tonight." said Peter.

   "Yeah, sort of."

   "So, where did you live before you moved here to Arizona?" Peter asked.

   "Oregon. It's very different than here, and a lot colder. The hottest weather I've been in was when I went to Laguna Beach, California. That was almost three years ago, however. Have you ever lived anywhere else?" I answered.

   "No, I've lived here in Tucson all of my life. I love it here." He smiled at me.

   "Shh!" Someone in the audience yelled at us.

   " I don't like talking quietly, do you?" I asked.

   "Not at all."

   "If you don't shut up I'll go get the manager!" Somebody else yelled.

   "Keep talking. I've already seen this movie." I said to him.

   "Really? Then why did you pick it?" Peter asked.

   "I love it, it is one of my favorite movies! Have you seen it?" I answer.

   "No, what's it about?"

   After he said that someone walked up to us. "Excuse me, but you guys have been talking too much/ Would you mind leaving?"

   "Let's go Leah." Peter said amused.

   We walked out of the theater laughing, so instead of the movie we just sat down at a table in the lobby. "So what is the movie about?" Peter asked.

   "It is about this English writer who falls in love with a prostitute, and they have to hide their love from everyone. There is a duke who is also in love with the prostitute, but he wants her all to himself. The prostitute gets very ill, and the writer is willing to do anything to stay with her. I'd tell you more, but then I would ruin the whole movie for you. Oh, and it is a musical." I explained.

   "Wow, sounds amazing."

   "It really, especially the music." I said.

   "Did I mention that you look beyond beautiful tonight?" Peter smiled at me.

   "Yes, I think so." I blushed.

   Peter always made me feel beautiful.  Especially that night, because I was just wearing shorts and a tank top, I was not even wearing any makeup.

   "What's beautiful to you?" I asked Peter.

   "Besides you? Or do you mean what do I find beautiful in a woman?"

   "What do you find beautiful in a woman?"

   "I think that it is amazing when a girl can be herself around me, and feel confident without makeup. Just like you." He said with a smile.

   "You just can't stop making me blush can you?" I smiled back at him.

   "Nope. When I see a beautiful girl, I get to know her, and see what happens from there. So far with you and me it's going pretty great." Peter said.

   I laughed. "I can tell. Are you one of those guys that uses the stupid pick up lines?

   "That depends, do you want me to?" Peter laughed.

   "No, no. I think I'll be fine. So, how many relationships have you had before?"

   "Two. One was in freshman year, and one was in my sophomore year. How about you?"

   "It wasn't really a relationship, but my best friend was my first love. I was twelve, and he was sixteen. I loved him for nearly two years." I said.

   "What happened?" Peter asked.

   "I realized that I would never have a chance, and that we would never be more than friends." I explained.

   "Oh, I would say that's too bad, but if you hadn't realized that, then you probably wouldn't be here with me."

   "So what happened with the two girls?" I asked.

   "What they always do, cheat." He answered.

   "I'm sorry."

   After I said that I won't forget what he did next. He took me by the hand, and we went upstairs. He did not say a thing, I had no clue what we were doing.

   "What are we doing?" I asked.

   Peter did not answer, he looked me in the eyes, and then slowly kissed me. This boy really liked me, I could tell. We were up there for a while, and then an alarm went off on my phone.

   "It's 10:30 already, dammit. I need to go. Would you mind taking me home?" I asked.

   "I would be more than happy to." He smiled.

   On the way home we talked about hanging out over the weekend. "I'm free tomorrow, but my mom has me stay home on Sundays." I said.

   "That's fine." He said smiling.

   "So I'll see you tomorrow?"

   "Yes." said Peter.

   He walked me up to my door. We said good night to each other, and kissed good bye. I still remember every detail of that night, I won't ever forget it.

Change (Poem)

A blade and a knife was once my life,

But that's all going to change now,

Everything would seem like such a strife,

Things are all different somehow,

People would tell me that it'd be alright,

Everyone always thought that I was mad,

I would end up crying myself to sleep at night,

Truth be told I've always just been a little sad,

There's still so much you don't know about me,

It's only been a little over two weeks, since she saw you last, but that's too far into the past, she wants to be with you, and hold you tight, when she's with you day turns into light

Before you came along, she was just another girl, singing another sad song, she was just one that was like the others, but you made her feel so much better, she realized that being sad was just no good for her in the long run

She didn't believe in love, she didn't believe in chance, but you made her not fear the unexpected, now she feels lighter than air, and it's all because of you


Sometimes she's just, sad, mad, or upset, but most of the time she ends up just missing you

now listen closely, you can have sweet dreams, or beautiful nightmares, but when you wake up alone and scared, just know that nothing can get to you, nothing can hurt you, and when you have not a clue what to do, just close your eyes and say, i am stronger than you

these sweet dreams, and beautiful nightmares, can leave someone scared, but every day and night is when you have to put up the fight, and stop them yourself.

Chapter 6: Soul Castle

   In Soul Castle we aren't able to know what day, week, or year it is. It's just useless for us to know since we're dead. I'm actually having a good time here, but I still miss everybody on Earth.

   "Are you ready for me to show you around?" asked Aly.

   "Um, sure." I said nervously.

   Aly could hear how hesitant I was. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine, Leah. Do you want to see a list of the places where we're going?"

   I nodded. She handed the list, and it said,

                                                  'Rooms: Levels 5-20,
                                                             Directory: Level 2
                                                             Shopping: Level 3
                                                             Dream Room: Level 4
                                                             Therapy: Level 21
                                                             Rec. Hall: 22
                                                             W.Y.W: Level 22
                                                              "Movies:" Level 24
                                                              Elders: Level 25'

   "What's W.Y.W?" I asked.

   "It means Whatever You Want. When you're in the room you see whatever is in your mind, it's amazing!" Aly explained.

   "Also, why are there quotations around the movies?"

   "When you're in the room you can watch anyone on Earth. It kind of helps you move on, it helped me movee from level 20 to level 15. Do you know what I mean by levels?"

   "Not a clue." I said confused.

   "That's okay, you'll understand. When you die your emotions go out of control. I was extrememly upset, so they sent me to level 20, but then my roommates took me to the "Movies." I watched my ex-boyfriend on Earth, and some of my emotions cleared up. Oh, when you're on a higher level, you have more roommates. I wonder why you're already on level 15? You only have 10 more levels to go." Aly explained.

   "Oh, that is actually a really good idea. Why doesn't it say say anything about level one?"

   "No one knows exactly what there is on level one."

   "That's cool, I can't wait to see this place!" I lied.

   "Alright, first up on the list is the directory. That level is huge."

   Aly and I walked down thirteen flights of stairs. I am so surprised that I walked that much. It was one of those staircases that kept on twisting around. There was a beautiful rug that went all the way down the stairs. It looked as if it should be in a mideval castle.

   "Okay, we're here." Aly said.

   "You're right, this place is huge! It's really crowded too."

   "It's filled with all of the people who died, and then came here. You've been here right?" She asked.

   "Yes, but I didn't realize it was so big! What's next on the list?"

   "Level 3. Shopping." Aly said with a huge grin.

   Aly was finally speeking my language. Shopping was my favorite thing to do when I was alive. "Ya know, I think we're going to be great friends Aly Brown." I laughed.

   Luckily we only had to walk up one fligth of stairs. I think that there isn't a gym, because we walk so much up and down the stairs. I was getting a little tired, but I did not care because we were going shopping.

   When I walked through the door there was nothing in the entire room. "Uh, Aly, is this the right room? Why isn't there anything in here?"

   "Close your eyes, and imagine any store you want. Then, it will appear." Aly said.

   I did what she said. First, I closed my eyes. Then, I imagined Hollister (Hollister has been my favorite store since I was about twelve years old). After that, the store appeared.

   "Oh my goodness! It worked!" I was so excited.

   "Hollister. Nice choice, any questions before we go in?"

   "Do we need money?" I asked.

   "Good question. No we do not." Aly smiled.

   "Wow! I am totally flabbergasted! I'm going to love this place!"

   I walked into Hollister for the first time in a long time. As I walked in I could smell the perfume they spray around the store. I had a huge smile on my face the whole time I was in there.

   The clothes were two times better, the hot workers were twice as hot as the ones in the stores on Earth. It is official, I love it here.

   In the store I bought two pairs of skinny jeans, five pairs of denim shorts, three button up shirts, four pairs of sweat pants, six tank tops, and three bathing suits. I did pretty good in Hollister today. So did Aly. She bought: four pairs of skinny jeans, two pairs of denim shorts, five graphic tees, three tank tops, two pairs of sandals, and one bathing suit. I love this place.

   "Okay, my turn." Aly smiled.

   "We stepped out of Hollister, and it just dissappeared. Then I realized we had other places to go. "Don't we have more places to stop by?" I asked.

   "Dang it! We do, next stop the Dream Room."

   We walked up one flight of stairs till we got to the dream room. I don't think she knew that I had already been there. "Oh, Aly, I've been here before." I said.

   "When?"

   "On my first day here, I walked down the stairs untill I found a door, and this was the first room I found. I talked to the first person I saw, and they told me to go the directory." I explained.

   "Okay, skipping the Dream Room. Therapy it is," She looked at the list. "level twenty one. Ready for a nice long walk."

   I smiled and said, "Of course."

   Seventeen flights of stairs! That was a very long walk! Now I see why everyone there was so skinny! I had no clue that life after death would be the way it is.

   "Okay. Here we are. Therapy For The Old Soul. All the therapists are really nice, they really do help you." said Aly.

   We walked around the office, and it was huge. There must have been at least four hundred rooms for the therapists. "How many therapists are there?" I asked.

   "Around five hundred. Each therapist has at least three thousand patients a day."

   "How can they fit in three thousand people in one day?"

   "Nobody knows the time here, so there's no time limit in the whole day. By the way, would you like to meet your therapist?"

   I shook my head. "I haven't gotten my schedule yet. I'll just meet him or her, when it's time for me to come in for my first session." I said.

   "Okay, I think we're done here. Let's see what's next. " She looks at the list. "Rec. Hall, are you hungry?"

   "Starving actually. Why am I hungry when I'm dead?" I asked.

   "That's a really good question. However, nobody has an answer to that. No one knows really." Aly explained.

   I thought that was strange. We walked up a flight of stairs to the Rec. Hall. When we walked inside I was in awe with how the place looked. It was increadibly huge! Also, the food in there smelled amazing. I had a huge craving for my favorite food, pizza!

   "So, what are you going to have?" I asked.

   "My absolute favorite food, sushi." Aly smiled.

   "You actually like that stuff?"

   "Of course! What do you feel like eating?"

   "My favorite food, pizza." I said.

   "Well that's one food we both like." She laughed. "Let's go find the pizza stand."

   We walked not too far from the entry before we found pizza for me. The sushi stand was right next to the pizza. "So where are we going to sit?" I asked.

   "Right over there" Aly pointed. "I see two seats with our names on it."

   We walked across the room to a little table. I did not know anyone there, so I was hoping that Aly would introduce me to some people. She did not though. We just sat there, ate our food, and talked about our lives on Earth.

   As we walked out of the Rec. Hall I saw a sign of relief on Aly's face. "Did you know anybody in there?" I asked.

   "Nope. Not at all. I only moved to the fifteenth floor last week. Nobody has been very welcoming." She answered.

   "Oh, well that has definitely got to change. We should introduce ourselves tomorrow! Where are we going next?" I asked.

   "The W.Y.W." Aly said with a smile.

   We walked up yet another flight of stairs, and there were two big doors once we reaced the end of the staircase. Above the doors it said, 'Whatever You Want!' The doors opened, and we walked in.

   "Alright, are you ready for me to tell you what to do?" Aly asked.

   I nodded. "Okay. Close your eyes, and think of your favorite place to be. Then, wish thirteen times that you were there. After that, open your eyes and you'll be there." She explained.

   I did as she said. I closed my eyes. Next I thought of my most favorite place to be. The beach. My favorite beach, Laguna Beach, California. After that, I wished to be there thirteen times. When I opened up my eyes I was there.

   "Where are we?" Aly asked me.

   "My favorite place in the entire world, Laguna Beach." I said smiling.

   "Oh, did you grow up here?"

   "No, this is where I had my first kiss." I told her.

   "That's so sweet! Tell me about it!" Aly got excited.

   "His name was Jackson Ramirez. We were over there by the tide pools." I said.

   We walked over by the tide pools, so I could show her where Jackson kissed me. "How old were you?" Aly asked me.

   "I was thirteen he was fifteen. We had only known each other for about two weeks."

   "That's really cute! What did he look like?" She asked.

   "He was about 5'7, had short brown hair, the bluest eyes, and a really nice body." I said.

   "He sounds cute." She said smiling.

   "So where are we off to next?" I asked.

   "The movies."

   I could not wait to go to this next level. I wanted to check on someone who I had not seen in a very, very long time. As we walked in Aly asked me, "Who do you want to see?"

   "A man I have not seen in fourteen years. The man who bailed out on me and my mother. My father." I responded coldy.

   "Okay, then I need you to tell me his name and date of birth."

   "His name is Christian Night. He was born on July 10, 1975." I said.

   "Alright, just wait a few minutes and he'll come up on the screen." Aly told me.

   I was actually a little nervous to see my father. He bailed out on me and my mom when I was only two, but he was a teenage father. He could not handle the responsibility. I just wish he could have been there for me: to see me grow up, to teach me how to drive, to give me all of the best advice. He didn't do those things however. My mom and her boyfriends through out my life did. That is not how it is going to be anymore though.

   "Okay, here we go." Aly said.

   There he was, my father. Just the way I remember him too. He was the same brown hair as me. Also, the same eyes. There was something not rigth with him however. He looked quite upset. He was crying, there was a woman in his arms. She looks quite familiar. Then I realized who she was. That woman was my mother, she told him about my death.

   "I can't watch this anymore, Aly." I said.

   "Okay, we'll just go and see the elders now." Aly said.

   I did not want to see the elders, but I had no choice. What I wanted to was to be on Earth in my daddy's arms, but that is not going to happen.

   "Why are we going to the elders?" I asked.

   "Good question. Let's just go back to the room. It's been a long day." Aly said.

   She was right. Why is it that days are always so long, and lives are too short? I think the answer to that is that days try to make it seem as if your life is longer. So, you just look forward to another day in your short life.

   When we got to the room Aly went to bed. On my bed was my schedule for therapy. I had to go every other day until I moved down two levels.

   This was my fourth day at Soul Castle, and I still cannot get to sleep. Instead, I just tried to remember what happened the night I died.

Chapter 5: Earth

   When I was alive I always fell for the guys who were really sweet to me. Peter Mendez was definitely one of them. I really liked that boy.

   "Why don't you go ask him out?" asked Roxy

   "I'm not sure. What if he doesn't like me?" I said

   "He does like you, I can tell."

   My heart was filled with joy when I heard Roxy say that. I wish I was still alive, so I could see Peter and tell him I'm fine.

   "Would you mind talking to him for me?" I asked

   Oh my god! You aren't one of those girls who are too afraid to talk to the guy she likes, are you?"

   "Maybe..." I said with fear

   "Leah! You need to break out of your shell! You are a beautiful young woman, and you need to go after what you want. If you would do this a lot of guys would be all over you." She explained

   "I just stopped trying when I realized that guys only want my virginity, and I'm just not ready to give it up yet."

   I remember how surprised Roxy was when she found out that I was a virgin. I could tell she wanted to make fun of me for it.

   "You're still a virgin?!"

   Roxy yelled loud enough that everyone in the cafeteria could hear her. I remember how embarressed I was after that. I just wanted to leave. You know what's even better though? Peter heard her, and just kept starring at me.

  "Thank you, so much Roxy."

   "After that I just grabbed my stuff and walked right out of there. I heard footsteps behind me, but I didn't want to turn around.

   "Hey Leah! Wait up! said Peter

   "Are you hear to make fun of me?"

   "No. I'm here to comfront you. Don't worry about them, Leah. You aren't the only virgin in this school." He said

   I gave him a weird look. "Oh really? Who else is then?"

   "Me. When people found out I was made fun of for weeks. However, some people gained more respect for me. If anyone makes fun of you, don't listen to them, because most likely they weren't ready for their first time, or they're still a virgin."

   I walked over to hug him. Peter pulled back from my arms, and then kissed me. My first kiss with Peter was amazing. I absolutely loved it. However, it hurts me to think that I will never be able to kiss him again.

   "Do you want to go to the movies with my Saturday night?" he asked

   I smiled at Peter. "Of course."

   Just because I died I won't be able to tell Peter that I love him. Never. Also, I will never learn myself if Peter loves me back. That is what breaks my heart the most.

Chapter 4: Earth

       Wednesday,
           April 30, 2008

   I was walking down the halls at school, and all of a sudden I remembered what Peter told me. I should've told my mom everything, so we could've moved back to Oregon. I really wish I would've been smart enough so I'd still be alive now.

   "Hi, Peter." I said with no emotion

   "Um, hey Leah. Something wrong?" He asked

   "I've been thinking about what you told me about Pete and Roxy, and honestly I'm kind of scared."

   "Oh Leah, I am so sorry if I scared you. I had no intention to. It's just a rumor, and it's most likely not true." He said reassuringly

   I remember how much better Peter always made me feel. I miss him very much. "Alright, thanks."

   Peter smiled and then walked away. I'll never forget how he looks. Peter was very tall, had short blond hair, brown eyes, was sort of scrawny, and had the most amazing smile.

   It was lunch time, and Pete and Roxy were actually here today. I went to go sit with them. I remember they had the strangest looks on their faces. They looked as if they just saw someone get shot.

   "What's wrong with you guys?" I asked

   "Nothing you would care about." said Roxy

   "Why are you mad at me?" I practically yelled

   "She's mad because you ditched her at the movies." said Pete

   Then I started getting irritated. What kind of lie had she told him? "She basically ditched me for some perverted douche bags to makeout with. So, get your story straight before you excuse me for anything, Pete."

   "Roxy why would you do that?" Now Pete sounded like the mad one. "You know Leah doesn't do that with guys she doesn't know! She's not like you, and you gotta remember that."

   Roxy gave him the dirtiest look I had ever seen. "I don't care if she's not like me, I wanted to kiss the guy, and I did. That's all in the past now, let's forget it."

   "Whatever." I said "What happened to you guys Monday and Tuesday?"

   "Family buisness." They said together

   "Okay. So is it true that your house is haunted?" I asked

   I tried to ask as fast as I could, because I wasn't sure if I even wanted to ask them the question. They gave each other a weird look like they were trying to think of an excuse.

   "So people are starting this rumor again I guess." said Pete

   "Of course it's not true! Ghosts aren't real. That's just stupid, who told you that?" asked Roxy

   "Peter, how long has the rumor been going on?"

   "This is ridiculous. The rumor has been going around since I was in the 10th grade, and Roxy was in the 8th." said Pete

   "People just don't know when to give it a rest do they?" said Roxy

   Then they asked me if I believed the rumors. I was absolutely shocked, because I had no idea how to answer! I won't forget the look they gave me. It was as if they were planting the word, "No" into my head. "Of course not. Ghosts aren't real." I said reassuringly

   I only said no so they would leave me alone. The look they were giving me was practically burning my eyes.

   "Good. So, Leah, I saw the way you were looking at Peter earlier." Roxy said

   "Yeah, and?" I was confused

   "Why didn't you tell me?"

   "Tell you what?" I blushed

   "That you have a crush on Peter!"

   "But I don't." I lied

   I was a horrible liar, and they could tell. "You so do, Leah." She smiled

   Roxy was right. I did have a crush on Peter, and I still do. However, I don't know if I can get over him.

Chapter 3: Soul Castle

   When I died I woke up in a castle. I had no clue that I was even gone from the world. Right then all I wanted was my mother. I was really surprised to that feeling.

   I got up from the floor, and I looked out the nearest window I could find. When I looked out the window I saw my mom and Tyler. My mom was crying her eyes out. I swear, there was more water coming out of her eyes than the Niagra Falls! Tyler wasn't crying though, so this made me wonder what was going on. "Don't worry Isabella, everything is going to be okay!" said Tyler

   "But she was my baby girl, she can't be dead!" My mom was devasted

   Then, I realized I was dead. I was gone forever from the world. "No!" I screamed

   I ran down the long hall looking for a way out. I couldn't believe it, I just couldn't. "No! Mommy, look! I'm up here! I'm not DEAD, I'm not! Please! Mommy stop. I'm still here" I screamed so loudly I couldn't speak anymore

   That stupid hallway was like there was no end to it. I kept running till I could at least find a corner, and when I did I sat down and cried, cried, and cried. Being dead was nothing like I imagined it to be. My first day being dead was the worse day ever. I absolutely hated it. I sat in that corner for hours, and realized that the dead couldn't sleep. I looked up from where I was sitting, and I saw something. I think it was another spirit or something, but I wasn't sure. I tried to run after them, with my luck however they disapperead before I could get to them. I really needed to talk to somebody.

   I got tired of sitting and crying, so I got up and looked for a door. There wasn't a door in sight until I got to the very end of the hallway. When I got to the door it already opened by itself. There was a staircase, so I walked down a few flights of stairs until I found another door to go through.

   Above the door it said, "Dream Room." I was curious, so I walked in. The room was seperated from good dreams and bad dreams. I think it was seperated again, so I went to the back to see what it was. I asked someone what it was and they said, "Don't you know? It's Dream Loss."

  "I didn't know what it was because I'm new here, and I don't know where I'm supposed be. Do you think you can help me?" I asked

   "Yes I can. You go back out that door, and you go down to the second to last door, and that's where the new people go." He answered

   "Thanks."

   So that day I figured out that you have to do a lot of walking while you're dead. However, the good thing is that your legs never get tired. I was amazed at the difference of your body once you're dead.

   I got to the door, and on the door it said, "New Souls." Once again, another door that opened up all by itself. I walked over to the lady at the front desk. Her name was Olivia. "Welcome to Soul Castle. How may I help you?" She asked

   "So that's what this place is called! Anyways, I'm new here, and I have no idea where I'm supposed to be, or what I'm supposed to do." I said

   "Okay, sweetie. I need your name, age, your birthday, day of death, and how you died."

   "My name is Leah Night. I'm fifteen years old. I was born May 15, 1993, and I died May 15, 2008. I died by murder, I was stabbed in the heart." I started to tear up

   Olivia looked up when she realized I died on my birthday. There was nothing I wanted more at that moment than to go home. "Oh sweetie, I am so sorry! I am going to schedule you some therapy sessions. You'll find a schedule in your room." She said

   "But I can hardly remember what happened that night! Where is my room?" I asked

   "It's okay. The therapist will help you remember. You are in room number 121, and on floor 15. The stairs are right over there, and once you get there you will meet your new room mate."

   "Thank you."  I said as I walked away

   Olivia was really nice. I think I might like it here, and hopefully I'll like my roommate.

   I had to climb up thirteen flights of stairs. My room was the last one down the hall, I was ready to meet my new roommate. On the door there was a sign that said, 'Brown & Night.' I knocked three times, and heard a voice say, "Come in."

   I walked in and there was my roommate for life. Well not life, because we're already dead. She was cute; she had long blonde hair, kind of tall, green eyes, and was very very skinny. "Hi, I'm Aly. I guess we're roommates now, huh?" Aly said

   I laughed. "Yeah. I'm Leah. I know this may sound really nosy, but may I ask how you ended up here?" I asked

   "It's okay. You'll get used to being asked how you died. I thought I was fat, so I starved myself. I only starved myself for a guy though. What happened to you?" Aly replied

   Well I guess it's only fair to tell you, since you told me. I was murdered on my birthday. I was stabbed in the heart, and the worse thing is I don't remember anything of that night. Not even who it was that killed me."

   "Oh honey, come here." She said reassuringly

   I went over to herand she opened her arms really wide, and gave me a big hug. She set my head in her lap while I cried and tried to cheer me up. "It's okay sweetie. The therapist will help you remember everything, and anything you want to remember. There is also something you need to remember here, everybody here has died, nobody is better than you, and nobody is any less than you. Do not let anybody bring you down. I'll help you for as long as I'm here. Please remember this." Aly said

   "Yes, I will. What do you mean for as long as you're here?" I asked

   "Once you have progressed here you move on to a new level. It's confusing, but I'll explain to you later." She answered

   "Am I going to learn about this in therapy tomorrow?"

   "Yes." Aly said

   Oh great. Now I am going to have even more to do. I wonder if I'm going to like being here more, or living on Earth. "Aly, how old were you when you died?" I asked

   "I was eigtheen. I'll admit, I do miss being alive. How old were you?"

   "Sixteen. I died on my birthday." I said

   "It's getting late. We should go to bed."

   "But we can't sleep."

   "Only the new people can't. You're still in shock. If you try, maybe you can sleep." said Aly

   "Alright. Good night, and thank you very much for all of the advice." I said

   "Anytime, hun. Good night."

   I think I might like it here. I have a new friend, and she's really nice. However, I found out that I have a long way to go here. I think I'm going to like it here in Soul Castle.
